Through my lens
From the Nile to the city park
The Egyptian Goose has dark patches around its eyes, pink legs and warm sandy-brown plumage. As the name suggests, it comes from Africa.
Escaped birds have settled along rivers, lakes and parks in much of Western Europe. It sometimes nests surprisingly high up, in old nests in trees or on buildings, and it is loud and quarrelsome, especially towards other geese.
