White-tailed eagle

Zeearend · Haliaeetus albicilla
Through my lens

A species I never stop watching for.

There are birds you photograph, and there are birds you wait for. The White-tailed Eagle belongs to the second category for me.

Every encounter feels different. Sometimes it is only a distant silhouette above the landscape; other times, everything comes together and the bird passes close enough for the camera to reveal details that the naked eye can barely follow.
